Mississippi Rural Physician Scholarship Program
In 2007, the Mississippi Legislature authorized the Mississippi Rural Physicians Scholarship Program (MRPSP), creating a unique longitudinal program that identifies rural college students who aspire to return to their roots to practice medicine. Academic enrichment, faculty and physician mentoring plus solid medical school financial support through the Mississippi Rural Physicians Scholarship Program will enable capable young Mississippians to address the challenge of Mississippi's health care crisis. Students can apply for the program as undergraduates or as admitted medical students.

Henry Pace Scholarship (Coming Soon!)
MOMA has established an endowed scholarship fund in honor of Dr. Henry Pace, who was the founding Executive Director of MOMA. Dr. Pace worked tirelessly to enable and help hundreds of students - many of whom are now MOMA members - to gain entrance to an osteopathic medical school. This scholarship fund was originally established in 2014, but lacked the funding to reach student dispersment. MOMA has renewed the commitment to achieving this initiative in 2020, and will be actively soliciting donations and partnerships in 2021 to be able to make this a sustainable yearly scholarship for selected COM students.
MOMA Student Stipends
MOMA is committed to supporting COM students throughout their tenure as osteopathic medical students. MOMA currently gives travel stipends to all students who wish to participate in the MOMA Winter CME meeting, which hosts a dedicated student education track and poster session. In addition, MOMA provides travel stipends for students that wish to attend "DO Day on the Hill" in Washington, DC. Stay tuned for more information regarding stipend opportunities for students to be posted right here on the MOMA website.
